About Workshop Information System (Web Edition)

The GSEL Workshop Information System (WIS) has been developed to provide a data control and analysis tool for ground support equipment maintenance operations. It employs a standardized defect and remedial action coding system that allows easy identification of areas of repetitive failure.

The WIS records vehicle entry to and exit from the maintenance workshop allowing accurate monitoring of the time under maintenance and of the workshop loading at any time.

The current version of the WIS is being modified to be remotely accessible through the internet. It also introduces additional functionality, particularly where the maintenance operator has to comply with specific availability criteria, typical of working under a Service Level Agreement (SLA).

The upgraded version of the system is currently undergoing trial at GSEL and conformance to SLA availability criteria is monitored.
